₪ ROUGHS, DRAFTS, SCRIBBLES (T+) For "Hope Springs Eternal" - Things that didn't quite get finished, or I changed my mind about, but the ideas still came out in some form. Most of these were done on tiny scraps of paper and are very nearly actual size as seen here.

Hades was the loneliest and most compelling figure in Greek mythology. He was never very popular, even among the gods, but they didn't treat him poorly. He only punished souls that were evil, and though his kingdom was dour he seemed basically content to rule it. Humans feared and respected him though he had few temples and even fewer artistic representations. But most importantly, the first written version of his story (Homer's "Hymn to Demeter") based upon the teachings of the cult of Eleusis --dedicated to Demeter and Persephone-- is different to modern interpretations which are culled from centuries of repeated changes that led to the relative monster seen by people today. It's rather unfair.

Disney did make him ruthless, greedy, and conniving... but they also made him tremendously funny and intelligent, and left wide enough loopholes to be manipulated into something special. I strove, through two years of research, to weave Disney's Hades with the ancient mythical one, and to create my own Persephone who would be more attuned with the original goddess. I feel I've done the best job I could.

I spent another two years, off and on, illustrating as much of the story as I could before my brain quite literally gave out. And while there are two complete sequels plotted out, I have no idea when or if they may materialise. It is my fondest wish that I can do so, but I am unable to make such a promise. You may appeal to the Muses (and Time itself) to aid me in the task.

(ADULT) (Illustrated) Full-length sequel (18 chapters + epilogue) to Disney's "Hercules" - In which Hades' kingdom is in danger, an immortal witch wants control of the Underworld, the Fates predict a miracle, and Hades falls flaming-head-over-smoking-heels in love. The usual stuff of myth. WARNING: There are songs. Sorry.
₪ DISNEY DRABBLES (HSE Revisited) (T+) Musical drabbles meme. Going wild within the world of "Hope Springs Eternal", past, present and future, with a few kinky twists.
₪ HI-DETH TARTARUS VISION (ADULT) Hades just wants a damned break from his desk job, is that so much to ask? A short time sitting in front of the T.V. can fry a god's mind in more ways than one. (Set in HSE Epilogue timeline)

I say this with all sincerity - when a character you create becomes something that other fans want to draw, it is amazing beyond words.
